Enzen had tied up with Closed Gap, a Netherlands based firm, to deliver to deliver a new age integrated meter to cash solution to electricity distribution companies. This solutions enables seamless customer billing, invoicing and adapt analytics.

Closed Gap working closely with the energy giant Shell is focused mainly on developing an integrated web-based customer metering & billing solution that will help both distribution companies & consumers in an effective & efficient way in terms of data collection for metering & providing billing information online.

CLOSED GAP offers a low cost, state-of-the-art solution for energy distribution companies to collect usage data and provide customer and billing information. The system is offered as a so-called “software as a service”, which makes installation and maintenance very cost effective. Infrastructure investments are limited as the system uses the internet as its communication network.

Under this partnership, Enzen would be a partner to ClosedGap for providing the integrated solution to all Indian Utilities companies. As government of India has announced an ambitious plan to provide electricity for another 600 million people by 2012 through ‘Energy for All’ initiative, the onus of ensuring that consumers receive power supply in an efficient manner falls on the Distribution Companies. Enzen believes this integrated solution will help the distribution companies in reducing losses, improving commercial collection & reducing pilfering.
